I’m not feeling that great right now. I’m not entirely sure why. But I won’t try and get into this so that I don’t end up rambling about nothing and everything and have you get bored to tears.
Did get some 400plus words done though. On Jalboot, the short story. I’ll probably send that out (in addition to Wings Over Sea) to Glimmer Train Press once I feel they are ready – the latter of course has been completed some time back but not revised yet.
The other day I watched Hellboy, which I regretted not going to see in the movie theatre, because I thought it was pretty entertaining. En par with the X-Men movies in terms of quality, style and fun!
Writer/director Guillermo del Toro (director of Blade II, The Devil's Backbone) has done a brilliant job in adapting the quirky-monster comics into a solid piece of film. And what I liked best about it is that Hellboy was a real character and --- depicted the comic hero exceptionally well, full of wit, sarcasm and irony. And he was actually there! I applaud the decision to go for the traditional make-up/costume instead of CGI technology and all that. The monsters in the movie were very much real and alive!
Though by all means, this was not a perfect film. There were a couple of glitches and obvious mistakes… and the final showdown wasn’t really that powerful. In fact, it sucked a tiny bit.

I tried to change the format/theme of this journal and I can’t seem to get it back as it was. This one’s aweful, isn’t it?
