The feeling you get when you receive a review from a critic is unlike any other.
The fact that someone you do not know, never met or spoke to, someone who you have no association with, and who decided to give up their time to read your work, the work you’ve spent months or even years on, and the amount of effort you’ve put into it, has something nice to say about it, makes this the most exhilarating experience a writer can go through.
I say this because, fortunately for me, ever since the release of QuixotiQ, I’ve been getting some really positive feedback and encouraging critique, which can't be much of a bad thing. And because I’ve just read my latest review coming from Coffee Cramp Reviews the monthly online fiction e-zine.
Yes, you guessed… it’s a good one!
I’ve waited almost three months to get the review and it was certainly worth the wait. Susie Hawes, the reviewer, said that QuixotiQ was a “highly entertaining, fact-paced thriller”. I was in a high when I read the review, especially when I got to the last paragraph.
The reviewer gives the novel 3 out of 5 and for some reason I decided that I liked 3 star reviews better than 4 star reviews, because they feel more genuine. I could be wrong. Mind you, I still wouldn’t mind four or five stars… hell, who does?
The nice people at CCR have even published a full interview in their new issue. This is my very first “online” interview. It was fun to do and I’d like to think that I managed to cover a wide range of topics through it.

BeWrite have also posted my second short story on their website. The sad-but-true Goodbye, Humanity, one of my very first stories, can now be read as part of the Bleeding Planet challenge.
The story’s been receiving some interesting response from readers on the site, based on the comments posted so far. Why don’t you go on ahead and have your say as well? I’d love to hear what you make of the story. Here is the link.
